The last few months have been a controversial time for Canadian poker pro Matthew Marafioti.
From allegations of multi-accounting and playing on PokerStars from
Las Vegas to the Twitter tirade following his breakup with Lauren Kling,
Marafioti was already in hot water in the poker marked cards community when
accusations of cheating surfaced on poker forum 2 + 2.
Marafioti maintains his innocence and has said that the chat logs posted online were doctored.
In May of 2012, before the most recent allegations came to light,
PokerListings.com traveled to Marafioti’s home in Toronto to shoot the
second episode in our ongoing video interview series Easy Game.
The interview doesn’t touch on the cheating allegations but rather
seeks to present a picture of the person behind Matt Marafioti’s public
persona.
In the following video we find out how ADZ124’s career began as a
full-fledged online poker addiction and developed into a multi-million
dollar enterprise that involves much support from his father Sam, who
appears in the interview material.

Tilt in Poker – Recognizing it, and How to Deal with it
The main focus of this article will be about recognizing when you are
on tilt and how to deal with it. Have you ever been happily playing
poker, winning every few hands with one or two of them being a nice big
pot, and then suddenly lost everything in 2 or 3 quick hands?
That is called “Going on tilt”!!!
It is every single marked cards poker player’s single biggest worry. When it comes to poker that is.
Why do you go on tilt?
You have to work that out for yourself. There are so many reasons that it actually hurts me to think about them.
Here are some reasons:
The important thing to know is that everyone goes on tilt. Yes, even the pros. We are all human, and like all other people, we can all be affected by outside forces.
What you need to do is keep yourself on the lookout for signs that you are on tilt. That isn’t as easy as you would think. I don’t mean that you need to constantly be wondering if you are on tilt, but I do mean that you have to watch out for anything that you may be feeling or thinking while youplay poker.
Some things to look out for are:

You could be the kind of person who can notice you are on tilt, and then simply carry on and fix things while playing. No one can tell you what kind of person you are better than yourself. Personally I know when I am on tilt when I have an empty feeling in my stomach and I have the urgeto win
my losses back straight away. Sometimes I carry on playing getting more
and more desperate to win, and sometimes I stop playing and come back
fresh the next time. Usually the next day.

Gambling at Casinos in Liberia
Liberia has been
such a disastrous mess in recent decades that it would be amazing to
find anything that still operated in the country, let alone casinos. However, that undervalues the resourcefulness of the Liberians themselves for Liberia's casinos in fact amount to two trick cards.
The
country was first founded as a refuge for slaves freed in the United
States, so it always had something of a tension between the more
educated returning slaves and the indigenous population. This continued
down the years, from the founding in the 1850's to 1980. The country was
run by descendants of those freed slaves and in some ways remained in a
time warp: until the 1980's, the President and his ministers, for example, still wore Victorian clothes, tail coats, and top hats (and can you imagine that in the African heat?).
Samuel Doe, who was descended from one of the local tribes, in 1980, overthrew that ruling class, and the old leaders were executed by firing squad upon the beach. There then followed some 25 years of vicious violence in which hundreds of thousands of the inhabitants were killed marked card tricks, often in grossly brutal ways. This finally came to an end with a UN sponsored peace mission just a couple of years ago.
